Shottle Hall Wedding

Amy & Jay got married at the fabulous Shottle Hall in Derbyshire. This wedding venue has the perfect mix of grander with its stunning house for guests and a relaxed atmosphere with it’s beautiful outdoor spaces for your wedding ceremony and celebrations. It also has a beautiful rustic charm too, with It’s more ‘farmhouse’ areas and barn doors. These made an excellent back drop for portraits and also give the visual story of the day another cool vibe.

The bridal suite here is one of my all time favourite rooms to photograph morning preparations in, there quite literally isn’t a bad background, and it’s just incredibly sumptuous from its four poster bed to its oodles of natural light poring in from two directions, quite literally what more could you ask for, plus the view are flipping spectacular from this room also.

Amy was super relaxed and chilled out on her wedding morning, with all the children she has cared for as a nanny joining her during prep. It was such a special morning as all the kids clearly had a special connection with Amy and it was just fabulous that they played such an important part in her day. Amy looked incredibly boho chic with a stunning ‘undone’ up do, teamed with some floral touches and a beautifully simple and flowing wedding dress. Everything suited her personality to a tee, and the bridesmaids blue dipped dyed dressed were equally as stunning and boho too.

The outdoor ceremony under the bandstand was just perfect with the sun being out. It was a lovely and intimate service and everyone showered the happy couple in confetti as they made their way back down the aisle.

The rest of the day was spent outside celebrating with guests and the kids were having a ball and keeping themselves entertained with the garden games as well as a kids teepee where they could chill out and relax. Every aspect of the day was thought about from Amy & Jay and Shottle Hall was the perfect choice for their relaxed outdoor celebration.
