Relaxed & Authentic Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Hey, I'm Clare!
As a Lancashire wedding photographer who specialising in natural wedding photography, I love to work with couples who prefer a relaxed and laid-back approach to their special day. If you're looking for a photographer to be your personal cheerleader and friend with a camera, grab a cuppa, get comfortable, and let's explore the possibilities of making your dream wedding a reality.

What is a Natural Wedding Photographer?

There are so many photography terms flying around the internet these days and it can be a little bit confusing to say the least. Terms such as documentary, relaxed, photojournalistic (ooh fancy), reportage, the list is literally endless. Let’s be honest, they all mean the same thing, recording your day in a unposed, unobtrusive, let the day unfold way. I love to people watch and anticipate reactions and you will never here the words ‘say cheese’ leave my mouth, like EVER! I get stuck in to the day, capturing you and your guests having a blast, photographing the authentic moments you might not be around to see.

How I approach a wedding?

Letting your celebration unfold naturally and not imposing on your day is how I roll. But Clare what about some family formal photos? I hear you. Of course we need those mantle piece photos for family, what else are you going to give them for Christmas (thank me later). I advise my couples to keep groups photos to a minimum. Lets face it, the more you have the longer it will take, resulting in less time mingling with your guests. Plus me having less time to get those belly laughing photos of everyone having a right good time.

Tell me about couple portraits?

As nerve wracking as this sounds, couple portraits in my opinion are a super important part of the day. It’s probably going to be the first opportunity you both get to be together and to have a breather from the liveliness of the day.  A quick 10-15 minute walk before you head in for your wedding breakfast is all we need and it will also allow you some calm together. This is where I turn into your personal ‘hype girl’ and get some cracking natural shots of you both. I give small amounts of direction as lets be honest, we all need and want to be told what to do when it comes to portraits. I make it as fun as possible and I’m not afraid to act like a complete idiot, to the point where you are in your own laughing love bubble. It’s all about letting go, trusting the process and being in the moment.

“During our wedding day, Clare’s skills at putting our awkward natures at ease were amazing. Our friends and family all thought she was fantastic and brought an extra level of joy to our day. We all had such a laugh with her that she felt like another guest we'd known for years!”
