Briery Wood Elopement

Angela and Colin had a super intimate Lake District wedding at Briery Wood Hotel, with just 6 guests and their gorgeous little dog too. Have I said how much I love animals at wedding, I love them!

As many people will know the weather is extremely unpredictable in the Lakes with its mountains and valleys, but it all turned out perfectly when it came to their outdoor ceremony under the bandstand in the fabulous gardens of Briery Wood. Angela walked up the aisle with her daughter, and waiting for her was Colin and their son. It was a true emotional family celebration as you can see from Angela & Colin’s daughters reaction, I had watery eyes just watching her, it was such an incredibly sweet moment.

After a spot of afternoon tea inside, we headed down to Windermere to get a bit more adventurous. This was something Angela & Colin were really hoping the weather didn’t put a stop too as they are wedding photographers themselves and they obviously wanted to make as much use as they could from this beautiful area, especially as they actually live down South. Everything came together, the weather held off and we made some flipping awesome photos! Angela wore her personalised ‘Mrs Phillip’s’ denim jacket over her dress which gave her floral gown a real Rock n Roll vibe! It was such a fabulous secluded spot with a picture perfect backdrop of the mountains. These two totally rocked their portraits and were rather cheeky with each other as you will see from Angelas face in some of the photos :-)
